Roger Milla, legend of the Cameroon national team, stressed that the difference between the African teams and their counterparts in Europe and South America does not lie in the absence of individual talents.
Mila said in statements to the official website of the International Federation of Football “FIFA”, that the duo Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane, the two Liverpool players can lead Egypt and Senegal far away in the World Cup competitions.
“In terms of individual talent, the gap between African players and European and South American players has always been close,” Milla said.
He continued: “As for the levels of teams, we must continue to develop, and players like Salah and Mani can offer their expertise in this regard.”
He added: “Salah and Mani are playing in a big club and know how to bring their team together for a common goal, in a few years there will be no difference between us and them, we have to learn from our mistakes and move forward.”
“We need big players in Africa playing with their teams to advance in the World Cup, and that’s not always the case,” he concluded.
