A life full of ups and downs. Tina Turner (81) is a living legend. Now she has been inducted into the “Rock & Roll Hall of Fame”.
Together with Carole King, The Go-Gos, Jay-Z, Foo Fighters and Todd Rundgren, LL Cool J and, for the first time, a German group, Kraftwerk, Turner was shown in the Hall of Fame, a kind of museum for music legends, in Cleveland in the US State of Ohio immortalized.

“If I’m still getting prizes at 81, then I must have done something right,” said Turner via video message at the award ceremony on Saturday evening.

She did not take part in the award ceremony itself. Tina Turner now lives in seclusion in her house on Lake Zurich in Switzerland. At her side: her great love, the German record producer Erwin Bach (65). She has been married to him since 2013.
“I said yes to Erwin and yes to love. It wasn’t easy for me to make this commitment, ”said Turner of the decision.

And further: “After all, I was now 73 and would be a bride for the first time in my life. Really, for the first time. My name is Tina Turner and I was the wife of Ike Turner. But I was never a bride. ”
The first marriage left Turner in ruins. Tina experienced her darkest hours with musician Ike Turner († 76). After her difficult childhood and abusive husband, Turner suffered from post-traumatic stress disorder – to this day!

Despite all of this, Tina Turner made it a world star. In the eighties she reinvented herself as a solo artist without Ike Turner. With hit albums such as “Private Dancer” and “Break Every Rule” she sold over 100 million records.

And she always fought against her numerous illnesses with her head held high.
In recent years she has suffered a stroke, had cancer, and also suffered kidney failure – and then a transplant in 2017. The donor: her husband Erwin Bach. He saved the rock singer’s life. Bizarre: It has often been speculated that the singer died.
Tina Turner celebrates her 82nd birthday in Switzerland on November 26th, with her husband Erwin Bach (65) and close friends.
