Roccapiemonte, widespread checks: fines of 6 thousand euros

Days of intense activity for the officers of the Municipal Police Command of Roccapiemonte. Following the directives of the new commander Happy Molloafter the meetings held with the mayor Carmine Pagano and the vice mayor as well as delegate to the Local Police Roberto Fabricator, in recent days the agents have carried out widespread checks throughout the city with checkpoints. A considerable number of cars ended up in the crosshairs without insurance o revision. Charges were issued against the owners of vehicles that were not in compliance with the regulations because they were not inspected or without insurance for fines that exceeded a total value of 6 thousand euros.

Commander Mollo announces that the controls will continue constantly and will be intensified during the summer period in order to prevent and sanction illegal conduct and behavior on city roads, in order to guarantee ever greater safety for citizens. «Everyday – Commander Mollo says – infringements are ascertained due to the lack of insurance coverage or the lack of periodic inspection of the vehicles in circulation; this is a very important activity as the disputed violations relate to vehicles whose circulation, for different reasons and to different extents, is still potentially very dangerous».

In relation to a specific episode, which occurred last week, of the approach of subjects to some minors, Commander Mollo was keen to clarify that there are investigations underway by the Carabinieri and that the Local Police command is giving maximum support to the soldiers of the Carabinieri by also collecting the images from the system cameras of video surveillance present in the Roccapiemonte area.
