Robert Döme ends up as HC Slovan Bratislava coach, Andrej Podkonický will be new

BRATISLAVA. The management of the Slovak hockey club HC Slovan Bratislava fired the head coach Robert Döme on Monday after losing on Sunday with the last team in the Tipos extra league table MHk 32 Liptovský Mikuláš 3: 4 after separate raids.

The team will lead in the training process, as well as in the next match from the position of head coach Andrej Podkonický, who is returning from a successful Olympic tournament in Beijing.

Andrej Podkonický will move to Döm as head coach. The match premiere will take place on Friday, February 25, on the HC ’05 Banská Bystrica ice.

Over the next few days, the club’s management will inform the fan public whether the current implementation team will add another expert.

Döme became the head coach of the Slavs in January 2021, when he replaced Roman Stantien in this position. He stood in 70 extra-league matches in the white match, in which he and his team won in 43 duels, which represents a 61% success rate.

In addition, he led the team in six Champions Hockey League matches.
