Peruvian Carrillo, Al Hilal player, in Chile’s last match
Lima – sports –
Doubts are looming that the Peru-Argentina match, within the South American qualifiers for the 2022 World Cup, will be held on time, due to the presence of major riots in Lima, the Peruvian capital.
The Argentine channel “TYC” reported, on Monday, that the situation in Peru is very worrying, due to the large protests taking place in the country as a result of strong political differences between the conflicting parties.
The South American Football Association is studying the situation with great interest during the current time, in preparation for issuing the final decision, whether to hold the match on time, at dawn on Wednesday, or to postpone it until further notice.
It is noteworthy that Argentina ranks second in the qualifiers with 7 points, after the first 3 games, while the Peruvian national team, which plays with Andre Carrillo, the star of Al Hilal, is in eighth place with one point.
