In the afternoon, the focus of the search area is between the Schwellenmaetelli floodgates and Engehalde by boat.
“As of 7 p.m. local time, the search has not yielded the expected results,” the statement continued.
Previously, Eril went missing while swimming in the Aare river, Thursday (26/5) afternoon local time. He is believed to have been swept away by a strong current.
At that time Eril was in Switzerland looking for schools and scholarships.
The Indonesian Embassy in Bern said that currently finding Eril is a priority for the police in Switzerland. Officials consisting of river police, medical police and firefighters conducted searches using various methods, including drones, boats and diving.
