Ronaldo was in fact present in Qatar during the event World Cup 2022. In addition to watching live, he is also in charge of interviewing players Brazil after the match for FIFA official website content.
A strange moment occurred when Ronaldo met Rodrygo after Brazil beat Switzerland 1-0, a victory which allowed the Selecao to progress to the round of 16. The Real Madrid forward touched R9’s leg, then rubbed it himself.
That moment seemed to indicate that Rodrygo wanted to ask for “strength” for Ronaldo’s legs so that he was as good as his elder. As is well known, Ronaldo is truly a skilful striker when he plays, with a tally of over 400 goals for club and country.
A similar incident occurred again when Ronaldo interviewed Richarlison after Brazil beat South Korea in the round of 16. Previously, the Tottenham Hotspur player taught Ronaldo the dove-style goal celebration that he usually does.
But before parting ways to return to the team, Richarlison didn’t forget to hold Ronaldo’s leg, then kissed the hand that had touched O Fenomeno’s leg. I don’t know what that means, but he could be hoping for the same “luck” as Rodrygo.

So far, Richarlison has scored three goals at the 2022 World Cup, more than any Brazilian player. Meanwhile, Ronaldo scored 15 World Cup goals and won the title in 1994 and 2002.
It will be interesting if Richarlison is able to follow in his elder’s footsteps. But first, he must be able to lead Brazil to beat Croatia in the quarter-finals on Friday (9/12) at 22.00 WIB.
