Rhineland-Palatinate companies are internationally successful in the mobility mix with their products

Economy Minister Daniela Schmitt visited the Rhineland-Palatinate exhibitors at the IAA Mobility 2021 in Munich. The nine companies and institutes represent the diverse spectrum of the innovative industrial location with its modern mobility mix.

“Our companies can score points with all forms of mobility, whether alternative drive technologies, autonomous driving or new business areas. The innovative strength and international competitiveness of the companies secure added value and employment in the country, ”said Minister of Economic Affairs Daniela Schmitt. The range of mobility offers is extremely important for people, especially in the Rhineland-Palatinate state.

“In order to keep life attractive in a rural area with its rural areas, we also need future-proof and sustainable individual transport,” said Schmitt. “My goal is for companies to develop and produce the most efficient drives at the location, at the lowest prices and with the latest technologies.” Therefore, she advocates a regulatory framework that is as open to technology as possible. In this way, the state could achieve the Paris climate goals and at the same time guarantee the competitiveness of the vehicle industry in Rhineland-Palatinate.

Schmitt visited the trade fair appearances of ZF Active Safety GmbH, Canyon Bikes, Michelin Reifenwerke, Faurecia Automotive GmbH, Continental AG, the consortium “WaVe”, Fraunhofer IESE, SERO GmbH and Thomas Magnete GmbH.
