It is reported that the representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova, promises to attack the constructed plant with missiles.

“Such a plant, if built, would be a legitimate target for the RF Armed Forces,” she said.

Earlier, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council of the Russian Federation Dmitry Medvedev made threats against the Germans. He is in his famous boorish style, he wrotethat “if the Fritz still decide to build for real, we are looking forward to it.”

Rheinmetall CEO Armin Papperger said that the main task of the concern is “to support our Ukrainian partners in the struggle for freedom and democracy and to meet their urgent needs as quickly as possible.”

Papperger said the site would be protected by Rheinmetall’s air defense systems. It is assumed that the constructed plant will be able to produce up to 400 tanks per year.

Recall that it was previously reported that German concern Rheinmetall will open an armored vehicle plant in Ukraine over the next 12 weeks, dismissing the concerns of other Western defense companies about expanding its presence in the country while it is at war with Russia.

In addition, we previously informed that in June 2023 Ukrainian defense industry enterprises fired more mortar and artillery shells than in the whole of last year.
