As soon as a 3.5 mm plug is inserted into the headphone jack, the iPhone or iPad recognizes this and accordingly displays a headphone symbol in the volume settings. That’s how we are used to it.
The quality of the cable and plugs is excellent and they do not give the impression of being accidentally damaged or destroyed in any way. The nylon braid even withstands a handicraft pair of scissors in case the kids break out in the home office and start using your IT accessories.
The Lightning adapter offers lossless stereo digital audio output at 48 kHz or 96 kHz, so there is really nothing wrong with the quality of the sound. You can hear that too. The music of all genres sounds exactly as it should and is not distorted or compressed by the adapter – of course, appropriate headphones are required. Handsfree or video telephony also works perfectly with the adapter, if there is a microphone on the cable.
In addition, the InLine adapter also supports the volume and volume buttons and the action button on the headphone cable. Cool – just like it was twenty years ago! In any case, the short adapter cable can do everything you can expect from it.
