The Lightning adapter offers lossless stereo digital audio output at 48 kHz or 96 kHz, so there is really nothing wrong with the quality of the sound. You can hear that too. The music of all genres sounds exactly as it should and is not distorted or compressed by the adapter – of course, appropriate headphones are required. Handsfree or video telephony also works perfectly with the adapter, if there is a microphone on the cable.
