Residents of Aktau outraged by the unauthorized seizure of land

He filmed the consequences of unauthorized disposal of land plots by the owners of private houses. The footage shows how an extension to one of the houses blocked the sidewalk, and on the opposite side of the road the sidewalk disappeared due to the left mountain of sand.

The department for land management of the Mangistau region commented on this situation. According to the department, they do not have the right to conduct an unscheduled inspection on the basis of Article 144 of the Entrepreneurial Code of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

– We conduct an unscheduled inspection only on the basis of applications from individuals and legal entities. All checks of our department are registered in the office of the committee on legal statistics, as a result of which we definitely need a basis. If the so-called “capture” occurs between two owners or land users, then such disputes must be resolved in court, the department explained.
