Podolski is not planning to end his career yet

Podolski had won the Japanese Cup final with his club Vissel Kobe together with coach Thorsten Fink on New Year’s Day. “It was a wonderful experience in a great stadium in front of 70,000 spectators. While things could have gone better in the league, it was of course a nice end to the season – with the first title in club history after 25 years,” said Podolski of the “Express”.
For Podolski, “Japan is still an issue, it’s a great country and it’s fun to play here,” said the former Cologne soccer professional. “But it was a long season, now I’m going home on Friday – and then I calmly think about my future.”
Podolski, who has played 130 caps for Germany, celebrated his fourth cup victory in the fourth country. In 2008 he was with the FC Bayern in Germany, 2014 with the Arsenal FC in England and 2016 with Galatasaray Istanbul became cup winner in Turkey.
