Most opposition MPs left the hall before the vote

The deputies voted to start the procedure for the withdrawal of the Republika Srpska from the Bosnian army, security services, tax and judicial systems.

The deputies of the People’s Assembly – the parliament of the Republika Srpska, a state entity within Bosnia and Herzegovina – voted in favor of a series of steps aimed at withdrawing from the state institutions of this Balkan country. It is reported by Radio Liberty.

So, on December 10, the deputies voted to start the procedure for the withdrawal of the Republika Srpska from the Bosnian army, security services, tax and judicial systems.

They also voted in favor of a declaration calling for the drafting of a new constitution for the Republika Srpska and noting that “all laws introduced by the international high representative of Bosnia are“ unconstitutional ”.

Most of the opposition MPs left the hall before the vote.

Earlier, the UN said that Bosnia is on the brink of collapse and there is a real prospect of a return to conflict. Currently, the 700-strong EU Eufor has been entrusted with international peacekeeping duties in Bosnia. NATO maintains its official headquarters in Sarajevo.
