Michelstadt. (ot) A 40-year-old faces criminal charges after his arrest on Friday night on a robbery charge.

Around 7 pm, witnesses dialed the emergency call and reported a recalcitrant thief in a supermarket on Erbacher Strasse. According to previous acquaintances, the suspect had stolen two bottles of perfume and wanted to leave the shop with them.

He pushed aside an employee who had noticed the theft and wanted to stop it. Eventually, he was stopped by another employee and handed over to the police. They arrested him and filed a criminal complaint.
