The French carmaker again reminds how much attention it is able and willing to pay to the development of the cabin.

With the last few models, Renault has repeatedly proven to us that it is placing increasing emphasis on crew comfort. The new models offer an increasing number of softened plastics, more upholstered parts and emphasis was also placed on the surface of the controls with which the crew comes into contact most often. The new Austral model should continue in a similar spirit.
The carmaker also proves this with a series of newly published photos, which offer a first look into the cabin of a new SUV. For example, the dashboard should offer a pleasant to the touch surface that will be partially upholstered instead of hard plastics.

In the dashboard, we also see a strip of LED ambient lighting, which should follow the lighting in the door panel. Of interest will be the use of wooden decors modified by Japanese maki-e decoration technique.
Like the dashboard, the top of the door trim should offer comfortable and soft upholstery – both at the front and rear. The fabric on the door panel should change from black to gray and will be complemented by synthetic leather. In addition, chrome decors will appear in the cabin.

This is also evident when looking at the central tunnel with a “smart hand support”. The backrest is lined with chrome satin decor and should be sliding. It should then emit a mechanical click when moving.
The pictures seem to show a top stage with the Iconic designation, which is the only one to offer a wooden decor with open pores. At the same time, the carmaker adds that the selection of suitable materials was not limited in any way, and the cabin of the Astral model should thus offer a high level of quality and workmanship.

In addition to the emphasis on quality and choice of materials, Austral should also offer a wealth of technological equipment, including screens with a total area of 24.3 inches, or a new gear selector. In addition, up to 30 liters of storage and storage space should be available in the cab.
