Reluctant to Support Gibran in the Solo Pilkada, 2 PAN Management Resigns

Eramuslim.com – The National Mandate Party (PAN) DPP officially supports Gibran Rakabuming Raka-Teguh Prakosa in the Solo Pilkada. Due to this decision, two of its officials at the DPD PAN Solo level declared their resignation.

Chairman of the Solo DPD PAN, Achmad Sapari confirmed the news. However, the two managers have not submitted their resignation letters.

“Yes, right (two of the board members resigned). Not yet submitted an official letter, ”said Sapari when met at the Solo DPRD, Friday (14/8/2020).

Sapari also confirmed that the resignation was related to PAN’s decision to support Gibran in the Solo Pilkada. However, he admitted that he did not have a problem with this, because the decision had been made by the DPP and had to be implemented by the DPD.

“All decisions are in the DPP. If the DPP has decided to support Gibran, then the DPD must be upright. We are the executors, ”he said.

Asked about the relationship between PAN General Leader Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas) and PAN founder Amien Rais, Sapari asserted that he was not related. According to him, the problem does not affect DPD PAN Solo.

“It has nothing to do with (Zulhas’ conflict with Amien Rais). That’s in the DPP, in Solo there is no conflict, we are perpendicular to the DPP, “he concluded.

As reported, the DPP PAN officially supported Gibran-Teguh on Wednesday (12/8). Official support was submitted by Ketum Zulkifli Hasan and received directly by Gibran-Teguh.[]
