Release ‘Spider-Man’ spin-off ‘Morbius’ delayed by three months | Movie

It is not the first (or the second, or the third) time that ‘Morbius’ has had to postpone its premiere. The film was supposed to debut on July 10, 2020, but corona had other plans. As the pandemic raged, ‘Morbius’ has had several release dates. First on July 31, 2020, then March 19, 2021, then October 8, 2021, and finally on January 21, 2022, before moving back to the January 28 date that was just released. Omicron is just the latest twist in the pandemic that just won’t go away.

Sony has still had huge box office hits with ‘Spider-Man: No Way Home’ and ‘Venom: Let There Be Carnage’, so it makes sense that it would try to give ‘Morbius’ a longer run at a time when the public health situation complicates things. In the film, Jared Leto plays anti-hero Michael Morbius, who makes a desperate gamble to treat a rare blood disease, only to accidentally turn into a vampire. ‘Morbius’ was directed by Daniel Espinosa and stars Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris, Al Madrigal and Tyrese Gibson.
