The European Union also has another goal regarding its proposed legislation, which is to reduce 11,000 metric tons of waste electronic discarded every year by Europeans.
The European Commission says that people in Europe have at least three chargers and use two of them.
While sales smartphone and equipment electronic which is portable in Europe reaches 420 million units per year.
If accumulated, each European community has two chargers, so there are 840 million chargers owned each year.
The draft of the legislation also includes standardization for fast charging technology and gives consumers the right to choose when they want to buy a product smartphone new need to be accompanied by a charger or not.
The European Union estimates that if the law goes into effect it could save consumer spending by 250 million euros or around IDR 4.1 trillion rupiah every year.
