– The draft reform of the Code of Commercial Companies is getting closer to being voted in the Sejm – announced on Thursday Minister of State Assets Jacek Sasin.

His ministry informed in a press release that on Thursday the Corporate Supervision Reform Committee discussed the final version of the draft amendment to the commercial law. The draft was put to the vote and it was adopted unanimously.

According to the ministry, changes to the draft reform of the Commercial Companies Code were introduced to the original version of the act as a result of public consultations and inter-ministerial arrangements conducted by MAP in August and September this year.

As a result, over 800 pages of valuable comments and comments were created, which were then subjected to careful analysis and a debate on the legitimacy of their adoption.

Comments on the consulted draft were sent by other ministries, private companies, State Treasury companies, as well as local government units, employers’ associations, foreign chambers of commerce, universities and law firms dealing with commercial law.

Over the past month, a team of over 60 experts in the field of commercial law, with the support of the ministry employees, debated and introduced changes and amendments to the original proposal to amend the Commercial Companies Code on an ongoing basis.

The final version of the document was thus influenced by the work of independent experts and the voice of the business community. As emphasized by the ministry, modern commercial law will apply to over 440,000 capital companies operating in Poland.
