Red Bull F1’s Hannah Schmitz wins Female Engineer of the Year[F1-Gate.com]

Hannah Schmitz, Chief Strategist of Red Bull Racing, has been named McLarenApplied Female Engineer of the Year Award.

Hannah Schmitz played a very important role in the strategic planning of Max Verstappen and Sergio Perez within the Red Bull Racing team.

Responsible for making bold and tactical decisions during the race, Hannah Schmitz also took a lot of risks in her strategic choices for 2022, but it worked out very well for Red Bull Racing.

For example, it played a key role in Max Verstappen’s impressive victory at the Hungarian F1 Grand Prix. Verstappen grabbed victory from tenth on the grid, largely thanks to the brilliant strategy of Hannah Schmitz.

Hannah Schmitz has been appointed alongside Alfa Romeo F1 Team CFD engineer Christina Emanouridis and Mercedes F1 Team strategic engineer Charlotte Phelps.

McLaren Applied is proud to announce the winner of the inaugural McLarenApplied Female Engineer of the Year award: Hannah Schmitz, Principal Strategy Engineer at Red Ull Racing.

“The judges were impressed with her strategic prowess and the way she was able to make decisions under pressure with just a few clicks. Congratulations Hannah!”
