Andreea Gheorghe, HR specialist: „In Romania there is a need for a workforce of about 500,000 positions, half a million offers, mainly the need comes in the area of ​​white collars, IT, but also in the area of ​​blue collers, production workers, unskilled, car operators, electricians , sweats. This need also came due to an economic boom, the pandemic area withdrew slightly, there is a much greater openness of companies for growth and investment.”

In March, according to the figures of a single job platform, it recorded a record number of offers from companies. 50 percent more jobs than in the same period last year. Most of the jobs listed are in sales, IT, engineering, finance and logistics.

Ana Vișian, marketing manager, job platform: „A very good signal from the market and that we are going back to what happened before the pandemic. There are some areas where we notice that we do not have so many specialists on the market, the area of ​​engineering, construction, medicine or IT, we can not cover the entire demand for specialists, and it is a big battle for companies for them.”

Elena Antoneac, founder of Start-up Tech: „We have been open for 6 months. Given the pandemic, many have realized that they want to work outside their home country and this mobility of people has increased, so we see a lot of employees who decide to work in other countries or freelancers who want to work more. well from Barcelona or France or Barbados, where life is cheaper and he uses freelancing, and he moves his location with his job.”

To attract candidates, companies forecast an average salary increase of 7% for 2022, and April is the month in which almost a third of companies implement the salary increases expected for this year, according to a study conducted by a consulting company Mercer Marsh Benefits
