Reconstruction of a bestial attack in Nice. Tell the children I love them, the mother said before she died

Aoussaoui arrived in Europe by boat with other migrants only last month. According to the French Red Cross, according to French prosecutor Jean-Francois Richard, he landed on the Italian shores on September 20, specifically on the island of Lampedusa, which in recent years has served as a gateway to Europe for many migrants because of a large refugee camp. .

According to the Italian newspaper Il Messaggero, Tunisia first went to quarantine due to the ongoing coronavirus epidemic. On October 9, however, he was relocated to the Italian mainland. The local authorities rejected the young man’s application for asylum and ordered his deportation. However, for reasons that have not yet been clarified, he was released at the same time.

After his release, the young man went to France. Security camera footage shows that he arrived in Nice, southern France, at 6.30am on Thursday. He quickly changed and went to the Basilica of Notre-Dame – a Catholic church, where the faithful came to pray in the morning. He arrived at the church of the tabernacle at 8.30.

After another half hour or so, Aoussaoui lunged at the audience with a 30-inch knife. He slit the throat of a 60-year-old woman near the sprinkler with holy water and tried to cut her head off, which witnesses said he almost did. Another victim of a Tunisian terrorist was a 54-year-old churchman.

The third victim is a 44-year-old woman. She still managed to run out of the church and seek help in the adjoining bistro, but shortly afterwards she succumbed to severe stab wounds under the hands of rescuers who tried in vain to stop the bleeding.

“Tell my children I love them,” she said, according to The Daily Mail.

One of the believers, while fleeing the church, alerted security forces who were quickly in place. Members killed the attacker with fourteen gunshot wounds, but did not kill. During the treatment and arrest, the young man kept shouting at Allah akbar (God is great), a call often made by jihadists in terrorist attacks.

The film from the arrest of the injured Brahim Aoussaoui was published (see tweet above) by the head of the SITE organization, which monitors the activities of Islamic terrorists.

However, Aoussaoui was not a known terrorist and, according to available information, the French intelligence services had no information about him. Police found two more knives at the terrorist, which he did not manage to use, and a copy of the Koran.

Aoussaoui attacked shortly after the al-Qaeda terrorist organization called for attacks in response to new cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed.

This happened at a time when France had not yet recovered from the brutal attack on high school teacher Samuel Paty, who had been beheaded by a young Chechen man this month for showing cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad in his teaching.

Subsequent advocacy for the right to cartoons and alleged blasphemy by French President Emmanuel Macron have angered parts of the Muslim world – governments in some Muslim countries have accused Macron of spreading anti-Islamic propaganda.

However, after Thursday’s attack, a number of Muslim leaders expressed support for France and condemned the act as disgusting.

In response to the attack in Nice, Macron announced that it would strengthen the military and police units involved in Operation Sentinelle (Guard) in the streets of French cities by another 4,000 men and women. So far, 3,000 soldiers, gendarmes and police officers have been involved in Operation Sentinelle on French territory.
