Recognition of MTs Students Who Survive While Downing the Ciamis River, Helped by a Woman in a Hood

CIAMIS, KOMPAS.TV – MTs Harapan Baru student named Faisal Saiful Alip Rahmat (13) became one of the participants who survived while participating in a river cruising activity in Ciamis Regency, West Java on Friday (10/15/2021) last week.

Faisal is a resident of Wangkelang Village, Cingambul District, Majalengka Regency, West Java.

There are two other students who are also from Majalengka. They are named Aldo Maulana (13) and Dea Rizki (13).

Unfortunately, the two children, namely Aldo and Dea, were included in the list of 11 victims who died during the scouting event.

Meanwhile, Faisal and Aldo are neighbors. Their house is only a few meters away in Majalengka.

When met, survivor Faisal admitted that he was sad that his childhood friend, Aldo, died in the river crossing incident.

“The feeling is sad, Aldo, my best friend since childhood,” said Faisal, quoted from Tribun Jabar.id, Sunday (17/10).

Faisal admitted that he participated in the river crossing event because it was an activity required by the school.
