1. Witness search: Burglary in kiosk failed – Rodgau/Nieder-Roden
(jm) Unknown people tried to break into a kiosk on Heidelberger Strasse early on Monday morning. The perpetrators tampered with a window between 2:30 and 3 a.m. However, they failed at the secured window and were unable to get inside. The damage is estimated at 100 euros. Witnesses who can provide information should call the police hotline on 069 8098-1234.
2. Witnesses sought after fire in a wooden pavilion – Dietzenbach
(jm) The fire brigade and police responded to a reported hut fire on “Am Stiergraben” street on Friday evening. At around 8:40 p.m., a witness reported the fire via an emergency call. On site, the officers discovered that it was a wooden pavilion on a local play and leisure area. The pavilion burned down completely. The damage caused is estimated at around 15,000 euros. The criminal police have taken over the investigation into the exact cause of the fire and are currently assuming arson. Witnesses are asked to call 069 8098-1234.
3. Accident with five injuries on the federal highway – Rödermark/Urberach
(fg) On Sunday afternoon, a traffic accident involving two vehicles occurred in the area of federal highways 45/486, as a result of which five occupants were injured and taken to hospitals. At around 3:20 p.m., a 30-year-old drove his black Renault Twingo from federal highway 45 onto federal highway 486, lost control of his car and drove into oncoming traffic. There was a collision with an Audi TT, behind the wheel of which was a 55-year-old from Babenhausen; The Audi driver sustained minor injuries. The Renault driver and the three other occupants of the car, a 25-year-old woman, a six-year-old boy and a four-year-old girl, were taken to hospital for further medical treatment. During the course of the accident investigation, the exit and access area of federal highway 45 to and from Rödermark (Urberach) was temporarily completely closed. The two cars were no longer drivable and had to be towed away.

(jm) After a traffic accident on Saturday afternoon on State Road 3209, in which a 50-year-old woman was slightly injured, the police are looking for witnesses and further information about a black station wagon. At around 4:10 p.m., the 50-year-old from Bad Nauheim drove her white VW Transporter on the state road towards Hanau. According to current knowledge, an unknown person overtook the woman from Bad Nauheim and is said to have cut her while she was reeving. According to her own statements, the VW driver then had to swerve to avoid a collision. She collided with the guard rail first on the right and then on the left. The driver was taken to a hospital for further medical treatment. However, the unknown person continued driving. The vehicle is said to have been a black station wagon. The van suffered material damage of around 5,500 euros.
