“Real Salt Bread” has premiered at the National Theater / Article / LSM.lv

Actors in home slippers and aprons, smell of rasols and pies, read stories and songs, pour laughter and tears. It can describe the joint work of the actors of the Latvian National Theater – the concert “Real Salt Bread”, which had its premiere on September 17.

Immediately, violating the threshold of the Latvian National Theater, the spectator enters the production, with which the Great Hall opens its doors in the 102nd season. The team of the concert “Real Salt Bread” will greet everyone, disinfect, take photos. The “real” tradition has been around for more than 10 years, but for the first time the “real” is moving on the stage of the Great Hall, which can be seen just like in rock star concerts – with a 360-degree scope. But the smell of rasol and pies vibrates from it.

“It seems to me that it is very good to feel the moment that both the actors and the audience are long after each other, and we got a good party.

Both moved and danced and sang along, ”said Biruta Elīza, the premiere of the premiere.

As the director, actor and director of the National Theater Jānis Vimba remembers, the idea of ​​”real” productions originated a long time ago: “That – we can sing what we want and we can tell stories from ourselves, and it could be interesting for people.”

“I want to emphasize that everyone on stage, playing music or lighting – everyone is a director, a playwright, an author of an idea, a co-author,” added Vimba.

In the beginning, narrative stories were taken from life, and only then did the gamblers find musical stories. And this is the time when there is a literal and symbolic barefoot in front of the audience.

“If you really want to get close, close, then we put close, close,” said actress Dita Lūriņa. “We also learn a lot about each other, we may understand a lot, what we have inherited in another work process. It’s about getting to know you better, for real. “

After the premiere, Ilze admitted: “True salt bread”:

“Something so very, very wonderful had not been seen and heard for a long time, there was both fun and for the soul, for the whole mood, it was very necessary at that time.”

The viewer Elizabeth, on the other hand, emphasized: “It has not been such a party in the theater for a long time, and it seems to me that everyone allowed it and wanted to do it, everyone was upset. It was wonderful. I was sitting in the lodge, but I saw – there were dances on the balcony, everything happened, everyone was singing. ”
