Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium will host an American Football League season match in 2025.

The American Football League announced that it will continue its expansion efforts and organize a regular season match in Spain for the first time in 2025.
The match will be held at Real Madrid’s Santiago Bernabeu stadium, in the Spanish capital, Madrid, while the rest of the details, the two competing teams, or the date have not been revealed.
Among American football teams, only two have marketing rights in Spain, the Miami Dolphins and the Chicago Bears.
NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said: “Playing a match in Madrid in 2025 represents a mark for us in our attempts to spread in various places and attract many fans around the world.”
Madrid is the first city in which it has been revealed that a match will be held in 2025, and it is also the fourth European city to host a match of the season, after London, Frankfurt and Munich.
50 American Football League matches were held during the history of the competition, with the cities of London, Munich, Frankfurt, Mexico City, and Toronto hosting those matches.
The Brazilian city of Sao Paulo will host a match in 2024, at the Corinthians Arena, which is the first in South America.
In addition to that match in Brazil, four matches of the competition will be played abroad, three of them in London and one in Munich.
The Chicago Bears and Minnesota Vikings Jaguars will be in London, while the Carolina Panthers will head to Munich.
The opponents and start dates for the 2024 matches will be revealed when the competition schedule is revealed in the spring.
