Ranked fifth in the list of best-selling mobile phones, Samsung does not take the headache

Suara.com – The latest report by market research firm IDC Indonesia mentions a brand smartphone Samsung only ranked as the fifth best selling cell phone in Indonesia.

However Samsung Indonesia remain optimistic and will continue to present new innovations in marketing its products.

“The cellphone industry is dynamic, it can go up and down. We will provide innovation in marketing Samsung products in Indonesia,” said Samsung Indonesia Product Marketing Manager Irfan Rinaldi in the QnA session of Samsung Galaxy A52 and A72 this afternoon, Thursday (18/3/2021) .

To overcome this, Irfan provides several strategies to increase product sales. As they are campaigning for the Galaxy A Series which just launched last night in Indonesia.

First, Irfan will continue to strive to bring affordable smartphones. In this Galaxy Series A, Irfan provides a choice of cellphones from a price range of Rp. 3 million for the Galaxy A32 and Rp. 6 million for the Galaxy A72.

Second, the strategy provided by Samsung is to minimize complaints that consumers report. In the latest Galaxy A, Irfan explained several updates such as screen brightness of 800 nits, visual fidelity, performance for gaming, chipset, battery life, to water resistance with an IP67 certificate.

Finally, Samsung also presents cellphone designs with attractive colors according to young trends. This is evidenced by the launch of three of Samsung’s latest Galaxy A series.

As is known, IDC Indonesia provides five lists of smartphone share rulers in Indonesia. Samsung, the only brand from outside of China on this list, strengthened its position in the ultra low-end segment, which was under US $ 100 at the end of last year. The mainstay is the Galaxy A line.

Samsung’s ultra low-end and startup segments accounted for two-thirds of the South Korean brand’s total shipments in 2020. However, Samsung is considered having difficulty fighting Xiaomi’s dominance in the middle market.
