PrepaTec Saltillo got the championship of the recent edition of the Champions Leaguewhere athletes won in the disciplines of women’s 3×3 basketball and women’s soccer.
Likewise, they achieved two runners-up in mixed volleyball and men’s basketball.
In addition, the sum of points in the remaining competitions, table tennis and flag football, allowed Saltillo will lift the first place trophy.
The feeling of competing
The Champions League It is a competition between the PrepaTec of Monterrey and Saltillo, where students test their sports skills.
“Being able to compete against other high schools outside my city in a sport that I am very fond of makes it a complete experience,” Alejandro Padilla.
Throughout the tournament, teams participate in a series of matches, which range adding points to determine the position of each high school.
Athletes have the opportunity to add weight to the general tableeven without winning in its category.
The opening of triumphs
Saltillo got the champion title by first timesince its incorporation into the tournament.
The competition, held at PrepaTec Santa Catarina, received around 450 players.
The cup received is a borrowed trophy that the winning campus keeps for a certain time and must return it to defend the title in the next edition.
“We hope for the same result and that Saltillo continues writing your name in the history of the Champions League”, commented the leader of Atlético y Deportivo on campus, Emmanuel Palacio Urrutia.
Effort rewarded
The students had to go through preliminary rounds to determine who would attend representing their campus.
“Being able to compete against other high schools outside of my city in a sport that I am very fond of, makes it a complete experience”said Alejandro Padilla, basketball player.
“Everyone joined together to achieve this victory”concluded Karina Medrano, director of PrepaTec Saltillo.
