“Quite wrong”: Amber Heard rejected reports of affairs

In the libel trial of Hollywood star Johnny Depp in London, his ex-wife Amber Heard rejected reports of extramarital affairs with Tesla boss Elon Musk and actor James Franco. Such allegations are “completely wrong,” said the 34-year-old on Tuesday in court.

The 57-year-old Depp accuses his ex-wife of having had affairs with the two men during their two-year marriage. The Tesla boss is said to have visited Heard regularly at night not long after the couple’s wedding, according to Depp. “I wasn’t even in touch with Elon until 2016,” Heard said in court.

Depp and Heard met in 2011 while filming “The Rum Diary”. The couple married in February 2015 and divorced two years later.

Depp’s lawyer Eleanor Laws read a text message sent by Musk on Tuesday in 2016, in which he offered Heard protection from Depp after an alleged dispute between the couple. “The offer is there even if you never want to see me again. I’m sorry I was an idiot,” Musk wrote. “The radio silence hurts a lot. It is only important because I really like you.”

The court was also shown footage of a Heard and Franco security camera. According to Heard, the two spoke to each other after an argument with Depp in May 2016. “He said to me ‘Oh my god, what happened to you?'” Heard said.
