The farewell was almost noiseless. This is surprising and yet understandable. Surprising, because Adrian Grygiel wasn’t just any ice hockey player in Krefeld; understandable, because he stays with ice hockey as the team manager of the penguins. Nevertheless, it is important to acknowledge the farewell to the active player, because the now 39-year-old can look back on a long and successful career that ended where it all began: in the Rheinlandhalle. There he played his last game as captain of the KEV 81 Oberliga team.
