Monster Energy team racer, Fabio Quartararo, who leads the drivers’ standings feels unable to fight Ducati in qualifying MotoGP San Marino 2021.
Quartararo is behind two of Ducati’s mainstays, Francesco Bagnaia and Jack Miller, so he has to start from third position at the San Marino MotoGP which will take place on Sunday (19/9) evening Indonesian time.
The French racer felt unable to fight two Ducati riders during the qualifying session.
“The plan is always the same as usual. If we want pole position then we have to try everything. For me it’s that simple, regardless of being on pole or not, that’s what I think. I can’t do anything against the Ducati riders,” Quartararo was quoted as saying. from Speedweek.
Quartararo was 0.302 seconds behind Bagnaia’s time in pole position after recording a time of 1 minute 31.065 seconds.
If Quartararo feels that he can’t fight Ducati, the Italian manufacturer feels the opposite.
Ducati CEO, Claudio Domenicali, is very confident in the performance of the riders in the 2021 San Marino MotoGP qualifying.
“Fabio has good pace, and so do we. We are so competitive and we can compete with Fabio,” said Domenicali.
