According to him, in all these regions, the occupancy of beds with oxygen is at the level of 61% -67%, with an allowable norm of 65%.
“It is indicative that despite such a short-term sinking of hospitalizations, 67% of beds with oxygen are already occupied in the Chernivtsi region. This is already more than the maximum figure of 65%. For the first time in this wave, we saw an excess of this indicator,” the expert noted.
In addition, there is an increase in the level of hospitalizations for COVID-patients, namely, 59 people per day per 100 thousand of the population, with a maximum of 60 people.
The KSE notes that the above regions need to add about 30% additional COVID beds and resources as soon as possible in order to reduce the burden on the healthcare system and get out of the critical level.
