Phoenix Racing has secured the provisional pole position for the qualifying race. The fastest pilot was Nicki Thiim. This was followed by Konrad Motorsport and Rutronik Racing.
Phoenix Racing will stay on the provisional pole position for the qualifying race. The Aston Martin loan, Nicki Thiim, drove the fastest lap time in the first qualification in the Audi R8 LMS. The Dane posted a time of 8: 14.887 minutes. He was only 0.225 seconds faster than Franz Konrad’s Lamborghini squad. The debutants from Rutronik Racing followed in third place.
Last year’s winner of the 24-hour race from Rowe Racing took fourth place. They were 0.553 seconds behind. The KCMG Porsche squad managed to improve to fifth overall position. This was followed by David Pittard in the Walkenhorst Motorsport BMW M6 GT3. The main racing team provided the best Mercedes-AMG this time. The top ten completed the BMW Junior Team and the two AMG GT3s from GetSpeed Performance.
The second part of the qualification will follow tomorrow at 8:30 a.m. This takes an hour.
