This Saturday morning, at 6 a.m., an Airbus A380 was diverted to New Caledonia airport due to bad weather conditions. The plane, which carries 357 passengers and 22 crew members, had taken off from Dallas, in the United States, to join Sydney.
“As always in such a case, the entire airport community (airline and its groundhandler, relevant state and government departments, airport shuttle service and the Chamber of Commerce and Industry) s ‘is mobilized to welcome these unexpected passengers in the best conditions’, indicates this Saturday morning, the CCI. Who adds that “Hotel rooms were found for each passenger and 8 buses came to pick them up and take them there”.
The A380 could take off on Sunday.
