After missing a penalty, Nani helped Orlando equalize against Los Angeles FC before turning the shot on goal that sent his team to the semifinals of the Major League Soccer tournament (1-1, 5-4 to tab).
Thanks to Nani’s decisive shot on goal, Orlando City qualified Friday at the expense of Los Angeles FC (1-1, 5-4 on tabs) for the semi-finals of the tournament organized by Major League Soccer at Disney World. Before playing a key role in the qualification of his team, Nani had missed a penalty (56th), his strike being rejected by Kenneth Vermeer. And in the process, the Californians opened the scoring by Bradley Wright-Phillips (64th).

But Nani, on a corner, was able to react by finding the equalizer head of left-back Joao Moutinho at the end of regulation time (90th). A goal that led to the penalty shootout, no overtime being contested. And so it is the Portuguese, former Manchester United star, who sent his team to the next round, where they will face San Jose Earthquakes or Minnesota United.
