The Crown Prince of Fujairah emphasizes the role of the arts in highlighting the culture and identity of societies
FUJAIRAH, 4th October, 2018 (WAM) – His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Crown Prince of Fujairah, stressed the role of the arts in highlighting the culture and identity of societies, noting the support of His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for creative people in all fields and enhancing their roles in Developing the culture and arts sector at the local and international levels.
This came during a meeting with His Highness, in his office at the Amiri Diwan, with Arabic calligraphy artist Fayez Al Naqbi.
His Highness stressed the connection between arts and literature as an authentic component of Arab and Islamic culture, and a pivotal element in expressing the identity of human societies and highlighting their cultural aspects and features of their civilization and heritage.
His Highness praised the works of calligrapher Fayez Al-Naqbi, which highlight the relationship between the forms of Arabic literature in general, and poetry in particular, with the Islamic arts, which are a rich heritage for artists and creators to express in various artistic forms and tools.
His Highness stressed the need to pay attention to the components of Arab and Islamic civilization, and for visual artists and calligraphers to delve deeply into its artistic components and elements, highlighting them and introducing them to other societies and cultures around the world.
Fayez Al Naqbi expressed his happiness in speaking with His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah, thanking and appreciating His Highness for his constant support for artists, which constitutes an incentive for them towards excellence.
The meeting was attended by His Excellency Dr. Ahmed Hamdan Al Zeyoudi, Director of the Office of His Highness the Crown Prince of Fujairah.
