Putin’s messages at the Vladivostok forum

The speech of the Russian president at the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok was without special surprises, completely predictable, except for one nuance.

Putin personally, claiming that what he said was the “white truth”, insulted the British special services for helping to prepare Ukrainian “saboteurs” to carry out terrorist activities in Russia.

Putin claimed that the Russians had captured one such group of saboteurs who were preparing to blow up Russian nuclear power plants. The captured Ukrainian “saboteurs” claimed that they were trained by the British.

Almost the entire British press wrote about these statements and claimed that they are fake news, which is categorically denied by the highest British officials. The British press also emphasized that Putin has not cited any evidence for such claims, other than that they are “white truth”.

In his speech and interviews, Putin emphasized how rapidly the Russian economy is developing and it is not affected at all by Western sanctions, which primarily hit Europeans. Also, the Russian president stated that he is ready for talks with Ukraine, if it is willing to “dance tango, where two dancers are needed, and not jump the cossack alone”. At the same time, Putin emphasized that the USA will never allow Ukraine to enter into peace talks with Russia, because the USA wants to wage war against it “until the last Ukrainian”.

Mykhailo Podolyak, an adviser to the President of Ukraine, wrote about Putin’s statements on social networks: “When any of the Russian officials, including Putin, start a false conversation about ‘peace talks’ again, please do not react to it. Not at all. Do not live under illusions that the current Russia is capable of how to make an agreement. Don’t be fooled again. Putin himself is not talking about negotiations in the classical sense, but only about one of three scenarios. First: put pressure on Ukraine to capitulate and we freeze the conflict.
