MOSCOW – Russian President Vladimir Putin will send a “doomsday” warning to the West when he presided over celebrations on Monday (9/5/2022).

The celebration event marked the 77th anniversary of the Soviet Union’s victory over Nazi Germany. During the parade, Russia will brandish large guns as its troops fight in Ukraine.

Putin has opposed Western isolation since he ordered the invasion of neighboring Russia. Putin will speak on Red Square ahead of a parade of troops, tanks, rockets and intercontinental ballistic missiles.

“The fly-past over St Basil’s Cathedral will involve supersonic fighters, the Tu-160 strategic bomber and, for the first time since 2010, the “doomsday” Il-80 commando plane, which will carry Russian top brass in the event of a nuclear war.” said the Russian Ministry of Defense (Kemhan).
