Putin said he was ready to show Ukraine “real decommunization”

The Russian leader said he was ready to show Ukraine what “real decommunization” means.

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that communist leader Vladimir Lenin and his associates created Ukraine. He said this on the evening of Monday, February 21, in his address to the Russians.

According to him, modern Ukraine was entirely created by communist Russia.

“You can call it that – Ukraine named after Lenin, who forcibly shoved the Donbass there. And now monuments to Lenin are being overthrown there and decommunization is being carried out. Do you want decommunization? We are quite satisfied with this. We are ready to show you what real decommunization is,” Putin said. .

Putin also made a number of other scandalous statements:

  • Ukraine never had traditions of its own statehood

  • Radicals took advantage of people’s dissatisfaction with corruption and brought Maidan to a coup d’état

  • They were supported by Western forces. Large sums were brazenly transferred to the bank accounts of opposition leaders

  • The radicals who seized power organized real terror against those who opposed anti-constitutional actions

  • We know by name those who are responsible for the tragedy in Odessa. And we will do everything to punish them

  • Maidan did not bring Ukraine closer to democracy. 8 years after the events, the country is split

  • People in Ukraine don’t have money to pay utility bills. They have to survive.

Earlier, Putin said that a decision on the recognition of the so-called “DPR” and “LPR” would be made today, February 21. He said this after meetings of the Security Council of the Russian Federation.

Recall that today the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called an emergency meeting of the National Security and Defense Council tonight.
