The president of Russia, Vladimir Putin signed a decreewith which he transferred the security of the Crimean bridge to the Federal Security Service (FSB), wrote the BBC.
“Give the Federal Security Service of the Russian Federation the authority to organize and coordinate measures for protection of the transport transition through the Kerch Straitthe energy bridge of the Russian Federation-Crimean power transmission network and the main Krasnodar Krai-Crimea gas pipeline along time of their operation“, says the document published on the Kremlin’s website.

The police determined that the truck that would have caused the explosion was property of Samir Yusubov, who, however, claims not to have been driving at the time of the explosion. The truck was driven only in his name, but his uncle worked with him, and Yusubov himself is currently out of Russia. The home of his relatives, located somewhere in the Krasnodar region of southern Russia, was ransacked. Yusubov told the “Telegram” channel Baza, which had nothing to do with the explosion.
