Putin or Kadyrov – who is telling the truth about Ukraine?

The leader of the Russian Republic of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov, claims that Moscow will not make concessions in its war in Ukraine, Reuters reported, citing Kadyrov’s comment on the Telegram network.

Deviating from the official line, Kadyrov suggested that the Kremlin negotiator himself was wrong, Reuters notes.

Commenting on Kadyrov, part of the Chechen forces involved in Russia’s military operation in Ukraine, he said President Vladimir Putin would not simply stop what he had started there.

Following talks with Ukraine, Russia’s chief negotiator, Vladimir Medinsky, said Moscow was taking steps to de-escalate the conflict, including by reducing its military action around Kyiv.

“We will not make any concessions … Medinski made a mistake, gave the wrong wording … And if you think that he (Putin) will give up what he started, as it is presented to us today, this is not true. “Kadyrov said.
