Vladimir Putin supported Belarus in the dispute with the West over the deflected Ryanair plane, Nova TV reported.
The Russian president received his Belarusian counterpart Alexander Lukashenko in Sochi and called the reaction of the European Union and the United States “an outburst of emotion.”
Mr Lukashenko said he would show Putin secret documents on the diversion of a plane from which Minsk police shot down a critic of the Belarusian government and his girlfriend.
“Some time ago, they landed the plane of the president of Bolivia. They took him off the plane and nothing – silence,” said the Russian president.
