It is one of the most important national health surveys. Since 1992, more than 30 themes have been addressed such as smoking, nutrition, well-being, sleep, living conditions, or vaccination practices … This survey provides valuable information, both nationally and nationally. regional. Used for the very first time in the Overseas Departments and Regions in 2014, this survey will be reproduced in these territories in 2021. About 2,000 people per department (Martinique, Guadeloupe, Guyana and Réunion) are invited to respond to a thirty-minute questionnaire.

Conduct of the investigation

The survey begins at the end of January 2021 for a period of approximately 6 months. People are contacted by the Ipsos polling institute using randomly dialed telephone numbers (landline or mobile).

In order for the data collected to best reflect the opinions and habits of all the people living in these departments, it is very important that each person selected agrees to respond. All age groups and all situations are concerned. All information collected will be fully anonymized.

Santé publique France would like to thank in advance all the people contacted by the Ipsos institute as part of this survey for their collaboration and the time they will agree to devote to the investigators. The data obtained will be very valuable, in particular for all professionals working in the field of prevention in these departments.

The first results of this study will be made public in 2022.

The Public Health France Barometer is a survey of the general population that serves to better know and understand the health attitudes and behaviors of people residing in France in order to build legitimate and effective interventions.

For more than 25 years, this repeated survey has aimed to follow the main behaviors, attitudes and perceptions related to risk-taking and the state of health of the population residing in France: smoking, alcohol consumption, illicit drug consumption, vaccination practices, sexual behavior, cancer screening, physical activity, nutrition, quality of life, sleep, accidents, pain, consumption of care, mental health, etc.

The Public Health France Barometer, by exploring such health behaviors and the perception of the risks associated with them, reveals the current health and social trends and thus provides essential data for the development and evaluation of health policies. public.

The results of the survey concerning different themes and populations are made public through articles, oral presentations, posters displayed at conferences, press releases or other publication media.
