Public employees must report to their jobs tomorrow

Work in the public sector will resume tomorrow, but public employees who reside or work in Ponce, Guayanilla, Guánica and Yauco will not be required to report to their duties, the governor said today. Wanda Vázquez Garced.

For employees of the municipalities most affected by the earthquakes that shook the island yesterday, the president indicated that they should use their best judgment according to their personal circumstances and their workplaces to determine whether they attend or not.

“We want that little by little we can go back to normal. There were a few days to take personal and family security measures after the earthquakes that have been felt on the Island, ”Vázquez Garced said in a statement.

The first executive said that the resumption of work is at the discretion of agency heads and public corporations. He argued that each agency head should determine with eye inspections if their buildings were damaged as a result of recent seismic events.

Public servants must return to their workplaces, as long as their security is not affected, he added. If there are any problems, they should contact their supervisors or Human Resources offices.

Vázquez Garced called for public servants and the general public to continue taking the appropriate precautions and security measures established in their family plan.
