PUBG Lite will stop operating on April 29, 2021

CALIFORNIA – After more than two years of release, PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds (PUBG) Lite game will close soon.

In a statement, Krafton, as the developer, officially announced that it would stop the operation of PUBG Lite on April 29, 2021.

“We are very grateful for the enthusiasm and support of PUBG Lite fans who have been with us,” wrote the PUBG Lite developer in his official blog.

They added, “During the difficult times of the Covid-19 pandemic, we hope that PUBG Lite can provide our fans with a fun way and always stay safe.”

The developer has scheduled the lite.pubg.com site to be closed on March 30, 2021. Since then, gamers can no longer download the game.

On April 29, 2021, all PUBG Lite game services will stop or officially end. Meanwhile, May 29, 2021 Player Support for PUBG Lite can no longer be accessed.

Until a predetermined date, the company says players in this battle royale game can still play it.

Apart from that, players can also use in-game credits including L-Coin (in-game currency / in-app purchase) until the game is stopped.

The PUBG game itself has been very successful since it was first launched in 2017, selling more than 70 million copies on PC and consoles.
