PSG has 90 million euros budget for the transfer window, Draxler pushed to the exit

Little by little, the 2020 summer transfer window is taking shape. For example, UEFA has set an end to October 5. For its part, Paris Saint-Germain continues to work on important changes. A well-informed source allows us to affirm that the Parisian club relies on a budget of 90 million euros for this summer (the transfer of Mauro Icardi already counted for the 2019-2020 fiscal year), not counting sales or the Champions League.

It is therefore a relatively beautiful envelope, given the context, which the Parisian club has. Advancing in the Champions League could of course help. Sports director Leonardo recently spoke of the importance of the fact that the big competition is not over. And the PSG also has in mind to use loans with option to buy to smooth its expenses and therefore be able to succeed in an interesting recruitment without getting in trouble vis-à-vis the Financial Fair-Play.

Draxler would like to stay, PSG wants him to leave.

There is also talk of possible departures to further inflate the budget, including Julian Draxler. The 26-year-old midfielder / striker is notably targeted by Hertha Berlin, but has instead indicated that he would like to stay at PSG. This is partly to keep a very comfortable salary of around 7 million euros per season that he would have a hard time keeping when leaving. The Paris club made him understand that his playing time would be very short in this case and invited him to seriously consider leaving.

This would therefore make it possible to have millions more in the transfer budget, but also to further reduce the wage bill. PSG can hope to save around 45-50 million euros on this side with the departures of Thomas Meunier (28-year-old right-back), Edinson Cavani (33-year-old goalscorer), Thiago Silva (35-year-old central defender and captain) , Eric-Maxim Choupo-Moting (31 year old striker), Draxler and possible Jesé Rodriguez (27 year old striker). As a reminder, Layvin Kurzawa (27-year-old left-back) should eventually extend to PSG.
