The protest, organized by PP “Vazrazhdane”, escalated to fight with the police in the center of Sofia. Demonstrators they tear down the scaffolding and removing parts of the fence around the Monument to the Soviet Army, reports BNT.
Police with shields push the protesters out of the breach in the fence. Deputies of “Vazrazhdane” also entered the fences. Those gathered are demanding the resignation of the government, as well as Bulgaria should not send military aid to Ukraine. “Down with the assembly” chant the protesters.
There is an increased police presence in the area. Among the protesters are deputies from “Vazrazhdane”.
Car traffic is difficult.
