Protests in Argentina: “Millions have nothing to eat”

Thousands of Argentines have taken to the streets like here in the capital Buenos Aires to demand better living conditions, affordable housing and employment for the many unemployed in the country. Several social organizations had called for the protests, above all the “Polo Obrero”, which is closely linked to the left-wing workers’ party. “More than 70,000 people are protesting in 100 different locations across the country,” said the chairman of the organization. “Millions of people have nothing to eat.
