Xiaomi last week introduced the Android tablet Mi Pad 5 which will be on sale for the first time on September 28 and the month before, Huawei has just released the MatePad 11 Android tablet.

Xiaomi claims to bring back tablet products to Indonesia due to requests from users who want to get the Mi Pad 5 officially.

Meanwhile, Huawei also claimed that sales of the MatePad 11 tablet received enthusiastic buyers in Indonesia.

Both tablets are adrift in price of around Rp. 2 million. The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is priced at IDR 4,999 million. While the Huawei MatePad 11 is priced at IDR 7,299 million.

Xiaomi is known for cheap devices with fierce specifications, but can this Xiaomi Pad 5 tablet beat the Huawei MatePad 11?

Design

The Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 is a thin and very light tablet at just 6.9mm thick. In addition, the weight of this device is only 511 grams. However, the Huawei MatePad 11 which has a thicker body of 7.3 mm has a slightly lighter weight than the Xiaomi Mi Pad 5, which is only 485 grams.

Specification

Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 and Huawei MatePad 11 are both equipped with high-end processors. The Xiaomi Pad 5 is equipped with the Snapdragon 860 chipset, while the Huawei MatePad 11 is equipped with the Snapdragon 865 chipset.

Reporting from nanoreview, Snapdragon 865 has a slightly better performance score on single-core and multi-core tests. Snapdragon 865 scores 78, while Snapdragon 860 only scores 65 on CPU performance.

However, the overall performance of the two tablets cannot be inferred from the processor alone. Supporting aspects such as memory and software used can make a difference in performance when used.

Camera

Huawei MatePad 11 is superior to Xiaomi Mi Pad 5 in the camera system used.
