Prof. Todor Kantardjiev: Yellowing of the skin and vomiting in the mysterious hepatitis

Toilet wipes with alcohol do not help, disinfectants need chlorine

Children are most attacked by the new hepatitis virus because they have not had contact with adenaviruses and have no immunity, Prof. Todor Kantardzhiev told BNT. The virus is transmitted through surfaces – by hand, for example. Parents should be very careful about the symptoms – yellowing of the skin, vomiting, stools turn white, he warned.

However, the alcohol wipes that helped disinfect KOVID no longer work. Chlorine and detergents are effective in hepatitis, the professor said.

KOVID has not disappeared at all, he believes. However, the virulence has weakened, it is easier to fight. Adults who have not been vaccinated should do so, said Prof. Kantardjiev.

He gave some advice on what to do when warming the weather to avoid infections. When temperatures become high, it is very important to keep the meat in the refrigerator. Animal food should not be left at room temperature for more than 3.5 hours, he said.

Do not walk on the grass, because with the warming the ticks come out, warned Prof. Kantardjiev. Taking a tick bite reduces the risk of Lyme disease by 11 times, he said.

A preparation should be placed in the reservoirs to kill mosquito larvae, as the Sofia Municipality did, he said.
